Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and What's The Source ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using What's The Source, you agree to them. If you use it for a business, you confirm you can agree on that business's behalf.
The service
What's The Source helps you see which ad, campaign or page brought each of your WhatsApp leads. It does this using a script on your website, the messages your WhatsApp provider sends us, and, if you connect it, your Google Ads account.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your password safe.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use What's The Source and for the data you collect with it. In particular, you agree to:
- only install our script on websites you own or are allowed to change;
- tell your visitors and contacts what you collect and why, for example in your own privacy policy, and get any consent the law requires where you operate;
- follow the rules of WhatsApp, your WhatsApp provider and Google Ads;
- not use the service for anything unlawful, to harm others, or to try to break or overload it.
Your data
You keep ownership of the data you and your visitors generate in What's The Source. You give us permission to process it only so we can run the service for you. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
What's The Source works with services we do not control, such as WhatsApp providers and Google Ads. Their availability, rules and changes can affect how What's The Source works. We are not responsible for them.
Accuracy of results
Attribution is based on the information a visitor's browser and your providers give us. Some leads cannot be matched with certainty, for example when a visitor deletes the reference code from their message, or reaches WhatsApp by a route that does not pass through your website. We mark each lead with how it was matched. Please treat the results as a guide, not a guarantee.
Plans and payment
Some features may require a paid plan. If a plan applies to you, its price and limits will be shown before you pay. You can stop using the service at any time.
Availability and changes
We work to keep What's The Source running and useful, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may improve, change or remove features. If we make a change that matters a lot to you, we will try to give notice.
Ending your use
You can stop using What's The Source at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
Our liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for important changes we will tell you by email or in the app. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
